COMMUNITY IMPACT PROJECTS
At a 2018 performance, the City of Cambridge issued a proclamation (pictured right) honoring Du Bois’s legacy, and the Du Bois Society at Harvard put on an exhibit honoring his life.

The Du Bois Orchestra has also led a residency with youth involved in Boston's juvenile justice system. Over the course of five weeks during the the 2017-18 season, members of the orchestra worked in partnership with students from Harvard's Graduate School of Education Arts in Education program to use songwriting as a medium for connection and collaborative music-making with justice-involved youth.
